Default Too much salt (again)

Big food news storage last week was (surprise!) that the Irish use too much salt. Not a major shock to me, but I've really cut down recently, especially with adding salt at the table. I'd still like it if food manufacturers added less salt to their products, e.g breakfast cereals. It's hard to avoid added salt completely. What does everyone fink?

I agree that breakfast cereals are definitely saltier than they used to be. Now I wonder why that is? Would they be so bland otherwise and salt needs to be added to "improve" the taste. That's shocking if its the case.
